How we work

Three commitments shape every job, and they are the things that separate an installation that lasts from one that gets replaced.

The load calculation comes before the quote

A whole-home load calculation totals your fixed loads against your service rating and shows what capacity remains. It produces one of three answers — capacity available, capacity available with load management, or a genuine need to grow the service — and those are very different projects with very different costs.

Skipping it is why quotes get revised on the day. Running it is also why we regularly tell people they do not need the panel upgrade someone else quoted.

The permit gets pulled by someone who can pull it

Greater Houston has three separate permitting regimes: the City of Houston, unincorporated county offices, and roughly a dozen independent municipalities with their own building departments. Neighbouring addresses can fall under different ones.

Inside the City of Houston, electrical permits are issued only to master electricians registered with the city, under Texas Occupations Code Chapter 1305. Unpermitted work has never been inspected, which becomes a disclosure item on resale and an argument available to an insurer during a claim.

Equipment is specified for where the property actually is

Along the ship channel and Galveston Bay, salt-laden air attacks terminations and enclosures continuously, and outdoor equipment needs 4X-rated enclosures with corrosion-rated hardware. Fifteen miles inland it does not, and you should not be paying for it.

The same logic runs through the rest of the work: conductors sized with ambient temperature correction for Houston attic routing, expansion allowance where a run crosses ground that moves, voltage drop checked on long runs to detached structures.

What we do not do

We do not quote figures we cannot stand behind. Where a number needs verifying against your specific address — a permit fee in an independent city, a utility boundary, a rebate program's current funding — we will say so rather than guessing.

We also do not carry review counts, ratings or credentials on this site that we cannot evidence. Where you see a bracketed placeholder, that is a value awaiting real data rather than a number invented to fill a gap.

Credentials

Electrical work is performed under Texas Occupations Code Chapter 1305, the Texas Electrical Safety and Licensing Act, administered by TDLR.
